The University of Texas School of Law is understandably proud of its graduates. This year, as they have for over a hundred years, graduating students will take part in a special graduation tradition: the Sunflower Ceremony. The Ceremony began as an act of defiance, but has evolved into a beloved ritual in which the Law School not only recognizes students for their achievements, but also acknowledges the family, friends, and other special people who have helped our students reach this milestone. The speakers differ, the sunflowers have varied from fresh to silk to fresh again, but the message remains the same: Congratulations, University of Texas School of Law graduates. The Eyes of Texas are upon you.
