The Tarlton Law Library’s physical facility, including Special Collections, is closed until further notice. Tarlton’s librarians and staff remain actively engaged in providing library services. Student tech support (firstname.lastname@example.org) and faculty and student reference assistance (https://tarlton.law.utexas.edu/email) will be available during business hours. Students can also consult our Library and Technology Support FAQ (https://tarlton.law.utexas.edu/student-remote) for most frequently needed information.
Course reserve materials, which are materials kept in closed stacks behind Tarlton's Circulation Desk, are available to students for limited check-out periods. Faculty may request materials relevant to specific Law School classes be placed on course reserve. (There is no “permanent course reserve” collection.) All videocassette recordings of Law School classes are automatically placed on course reserve.
Faculty members may place personal copies of resources on course reserve. All materials will be returned at the end of the semester (unless requested sooner).
Faculty members may place items in any media on course reserve at any time by:
The Library will also scan copies of articles or other packet-like materials into a .pdf format so that these materials can be made available in the online reserve area or on individual Blackboard classes.
All course reserve items are removed from the course reserves collection at the end of the semester.
