United Kingdom Law Research Guide

A guide to researching the law of the United Kingdom in Tarlton Law Library.

United Kingdom Legal Treatises

Tarlton Law Library has a substantial collection of treatises and textbooks on the law of the United Kingdom.  Use TALLONS, the online catalog, to find these.  Call numbers for England and Wales begin with KD, for Scotland with KDC, and for Northern Ireland with KDE.  All these materials are located on the 3rd floor of the law library.  Representative examples of leading treatises in Tarlton's collection are given here:

United Kingdom Law Reviews

The leading law reviews in the United Kingdom are listed below.  All are in Tarlton's collection and are available online through links found in the catalog records.  These law journals are indexed in the Index to Legal Periodicals and Books, which can be reached on TALLONS under Research Tools > Journal Indexes.  An index on Westlaw that is devoted to legal periodicals published in the United Kingdom is the Legal Journals Index
