Maintaining mental wellness is just as important as maintaining physical wellness. For law students who need help managing stress, anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts, the following resources may be helpful.
BCAL is a service that allows the UT community to discuss concerns about another individual's behavior. If you have concerns about another person's behavior, you can call BCAL at 512-232-5050.
Be That One is UT's Suicide Prevention Program through the Counseling and Mental Health Center, offering information and resources about suicide prevention.
UT's Counseling and Mental Health Center offers counselors located within the colleges they serve to provide mental health support to students. The law school's CARE counselor is Maria Timm. (https://cmhc.utexas.edu/CARE_timm.html)
The UT Counseling and Mental Health Center's Crisis Line is a confidential service for UT students to speak with trained counselors about their urgent concerns. You can call them at 512-471-CALL (2255).

The American Bar Association's CoLAP provides information and resources on a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues for lawyers and law students.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline offers free and confidential, 24/7 support for people in distress or crisis. You can also call their hotline at 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
