Although court expansion, term limits, reducing the power of the Supreme Court, and merit selection are some of the most well-known proposals for Supreme Court reform, they are not the only ones. This section highlights other proposals for reforming the Supreme Court (or articles that analyze multiple proposals). The articles in this section include both academic literature and popular press.
Students at Yale Law School have also developed a website highlighting several of the proposals referenced in this research guide. The website contains a quiz you can take to see which reform option aligns best with your particular concerns, as well as a list for further reading.
The articles listed in this subsection either cover a multitude of reform proposals (even those already described above) or focus on a single, novel proposal.
