The Thomas Woodward Houghton 50 State Ethics Guide

The 50 State Ethics Guide provides an easy-to-use clearinghouse where attorneys, law students and faculty, judges, the public, and other researchers can obtain free access to legal ethics opinions and laws for all 50 states.

Welcome to the Thomas Woodward Houghton 50 State Ethics Guide. This guide collects key information about legal ethics and professional responsibility from across the country. It is our hope that this page will be helpful to all those researching legal ethics issues. The development of the collection and guide was made possible by the generosity of Mrs. Thomas Woodward Houghton (Dorothy Knox).

The map below links to key state resources on legal ethics codes, regulations, and opinions. The guide also provides access to ABA ethics information and select ethics titles held by Tarlton Law Library, many of which were purchased using the Thomas Woodward Houghton Book Fund.
