A beta version of WorldCat @ Tarlton, a new discovery service that expands on the traditional library catalog to include the holdings of thousands of libraries across the world, becomes available through the Law Library on Monday, June 15, 2009.
WorldCat @ Tarlton is based on the WorldCat database of information resources, the most comprehensive bibliographic database in the world. It can be used in conjunction with TALLONS, the Law Library’s online catalog, or as a standalone discovery tool. Easy to navigate search results allow for refinements to be made based on a resource’s format, language, and date of publication. Users affiliated with the Law School can request holds on materials held by the Law Library or can place interlibrary loan requests with a few mouse clicks. WorldCat @ Tarlton incorporates the latest technologies in offering user-input tagging and reviews. Once your free account is registered, saved searches and resource lists can be stored for future reference.
WorldCat @ Tarlton will be enhanced with new features, including the addition of journal article full text, in July.
