Foreign & international law collection
Foreign and international materials (6th Floor)

The Library collects primary and secondary authority from a number of foreign jurisdictions and historical materials from different legal systems (canon law, Roman law, Jewish law, Mohammedan law, etc.). The Library’s foreign law collection is especially strong in Latin American, Commonwealth, and Western European materials. The Library is an official depository for Canadian and European Union government publications.

International materials are also well represented in the Library. Treaties, those to which the US is a party and those among foreign countries, publications of international and multinational organizations and non-governmental organizations are also available on the 6th floor of the Library and in various electronic formats.

Jonathan Pratter, the foreign and international law librarian, is available to assist researchers in locating and using the foreign and international materials. The office is open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.

More information is available on the foreign and international law collection's homepage.
