Law school classes and training sessions are held in the Computer Learning Center classroom. The Law Computer Learning Center has 82 computers and a scanner available for use by law students. Proctors offer the first level of help to users and are responsible for providing general assistance with printing documents, saving documents, general settings for laptops, application assistance and assistance with recovery of damaged files. Law students have the option to print to printers located in the Law Computer Learning Center from their personal laptops and desktops. Westlaw and Lexis printing are also available in the Law Computer Learning Center along with assistance from the Westlaw and Lexis student representatives.
Tarlton Law Library is a selective government depository. Since 1965, the Library has received approximately 29% of the documents distributed by the Government Printing Office. Tarlton's government documents department collects all Congressional publications and other law-related titles as well as selected titles from all major federal agencies. Holdings for major sets such as the Congressional Record, Federal Register, and administrative decisions are complete from volume one. Documents are received in paper, microfiche, CD-ROM, and on-line. Access to the collection is facilitated by the use of the government documents shelf list, an extensive array of indexes located in the Documents Index Room, and TALLONS (for most documents received since 1976). Most documents are arranged by Superintendent of Documents classification number.
Barbara Bridges, the government document librarian, is available to assist researchers in locating and using the government documents collection. The office is open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
