The Media Center houses over 76,000 titles in microform and audiovisual tape. A microform reader – printer, several cassette tape players and a monitor and VCR are provided to allow users access to the collection.
Included in the over 76,000 titles in the Media Collection are microform versions of English, Scottish and Irish Law Reports, U.S. Congressional bills, oral arguments befor the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Supreme Court records and briefs, Texas Supreme Court records and briefs, and newspapers such as The New York Times (1970 - 1998), The Washington Post (1990 - 1998), The Wall Street Journal (1977 - present), Chicago Daily Law Bulletin (1990 - present), Legal Times (1979 - present), Los Angles Daily Journal (1980 - present), National Law Journal (1978 - present), and The New York Law Journal (1976 - present), the papers of Justice Louis Brandeis, the papers of Justice Felix Frankfurter, the papers of Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., and the papers of Roscoe Pound.
The McDonald Reading Room houses the Library's collection of legal periodicals.
American law resources, primarily secondary sources, are located in the Searls Reading Room. Materials include subject-specific looseleaf services, legal treatises, hornbooks, law school course study guides, and form books.
At the request of law students, the Library has designated a portion of the 4 th floor where laptop computers may not be used.
The Gavel Room (which may also be reserved by law students as a conference room) houses the winners of the American Bar Association’s Silver Gavel Awards.
