Patrons with no UT or TexShare affiliation may borrow materials--other than LPOP videos--from the Jamail Center with a current Library guest borrower card. Please note that the Library has no reciprocal arrangements with other libraries on campus so that this borrower card only entitles patrons to borrow materials from the Jamail Center.
Individual guest borrower cards are available at a cost of $75 per calendar year. Corporate guest borrower cards are available for entities employing up to 15 attorneys at a cost of $150 per calendar year. For firms and corporations employing 15 or more attorneys, the cost of the borrower card is $300 per calendar year.
To apply for a guest borrower card, please bring a state-issued photo ID, an additional proof of address (e.g., piece of mail or insurance card), and cash or check for the annual fee to the Circulation Desk between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The annual fee must be paid before materials can be checked out.
A Texas state agency may obtain a free guest borrower card upon presentation of an employee's state issued, photo ID and a letter printed on agency letterhead. The letter must state the following:
