Hu discussed the resignations of some longstanding members of Enron’s board of directors in the Feb. 13, 2002, Dallas Morning News. Hu was quoted in the Washington Post, Feb. 12, 2002, on how the nature of the Global Crossing and Enron collapses may affect investor psychology. Hu was quoted on Enron’s complex off-balance sheet partnerships in the Feb. 9, 2002, Houston Chronicle. Hu discussed the decision of former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling to testify before Congress in the Houston Chronicle, Feb. 8, 2002. Alan Rau spoke on “Enforcement of International Awards and Foreign Judgments” at the 14th Annual International Law Institute, “Managing the International Transaction,” in Houston on Feb. 22, 2002. John Robertson has received a two-year grant for $150,000 from the National Institutes of Health for a project entitled “Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis and Genetic Modification.” Jay Westbrook was one of the 14 recipients of the Texas Excellence Teaching Awards spotlighted in the March/April 2002 issue of The Alcalde.
