Roberta Beary is a finance attorney at a small law firm located at Dupont Circle, in Washington, DC. Her poetry, primarily haiku, has been published in Modern Haiku, Frogpond, Woodnotes, Haiku International and in A New Resonance 2: Emerging Voices in English Language Haiku (Red Moon Press, 2001)(edited by Jim Kacian & Dee Evetts), and in other Red Moon Press anthologies. Beary was born in 1954 in New York City. She currently resides in Bethseda, Maryland.
"harvest moon" was first published in The Heron's Nest; "quiet rain" first appeared in Paperclips: An Anthology of Poems Commemorating the 2001 Haiku North America Conference (Press Here, 2001) and was later republished in Rose Haiku for Flower Lovers and Gardeners (Redlader Publishing, 2005)(edited by Angela Leuck); "my daughter's hands" was published in Tanka Anthology (Black Cat Press, 2005)(edited by Jeanne Emrich)
