Marc Ellis was born in Wichita Falls, Texas; the year was 1952. He attended Troy State University, received his law degree from the University of Alabama Law School in 1990, and is now an immigration lawyer, composer, playwright, and poet. He lives in New Orleans. His play, The Pollster, was performed in 1992 at the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center and was a finalist in the Southern Playwrights Competition. His music includes "Fields of Vision" by the Half Moon Duo (Chelsea Records, 1985).
