Summary: A woman who loves and must be loved obsessively destroys
anyone who thwarts her will. Ellen Berent's (Tierney) twisted ego drives her
to kill her husband's (Wilde) brother (Hickman) and her own unborn child
because she resents the attention they receive from her husband. When her
husband learns what she has done for love of him, he leaves her. Her revenge
is to kill herself and plant evidence that will indict her own sister (Crain).
