"We are disappointed that our requests for further proceedings in
the District Court have been denied. We will continue our vigorous efforts to
enroll students of all races within the limits imposed by the courts. One such
example of our efforts was this month's announced partnership of our UT- San
Antonio program which will encourage geographic diversity in pre-law training
for the students of UTSA. Our successful, similar program with UT-El Paso produced
impressive results. We look forward to pursuing similar programs with other
Texas colleges."
