008 Importation of Equidae.
In addition to those general requirements contained in 23 NAC 2-004, the following
requirements must be met:
008.01 Equidae shall be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Examination which
certifies that such equidae, originating from states other than Montana, Minnesota,
Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas and Iowa, have been tested and found
negative for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) within one (1) year of shipment into the State
of Nebraska, except that foals under six months of age shall be exempt from this
requirement. The name of the laboratory performing the EIA test and date of such test
shall be stated on the Certificate of Veterinary Examination.
