Depositories in Austin

If a particular document is unavailable at Tarlton, one of Austin's four other depository libraries may have the resource. The Engineering Library on the UT campus includes most government trademark and patent and is one of five United States patent and trademark depository libraries in Texas.

Texas State Library- As a regional federal depository which receives all depository documents, this library has the most extensive depository documents collection in Austin. It is located in the Lorenzo de Zavala Building (1201 Brazos) directly east of the State Capitol. (telephone: 512-463-5455)

Perry Castaneda Library (PCL) - PCL has been a selective depository since 1884. Its extensive collection is located on the southeast corner of 21st and Speedway on the UT campus. Some of the special holdings include the complete Serial Set on microfiche and the ASI nondepository microfiche collection. (telephone: 512-495-4250)

LBJ School of Public Affairs Library (UT) - A depository since 1966, this fairly large collection is located directly across the street from the Law School at Sid Richardson Hall 3.243. (telephone: 512-495-4400)

Texas State Law Library - Located in the Tom C. Clark Building (205 W. 14th St.), the Texas State Law Library contains a very selective collection of federal depository material. (telephone: 512-463-1722)

Richard W. McKinney Engineering Library - The local patent and trademark depository library at the University of Texas at Austin is located in room 1.300 of Ernest Cockrell, Jr. Hall (on the south side of 26th Street between Speedway and San Jacinto). (telephone: 512-495-4500; 495-4511)

Depositories Outside of Austin
