Tarlton provides institutional membership to CALI (Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction). CALI offers a number of innovative instructional tools including lessons and tutorials, class blogging and podcasting tools, the ability to create electronic casebooks, and a network for Creative Commons licensed course materials. Many of our students are familiar with CALI’s existing online tutorials and use them as supplemental study materials before finals
Thomson Reuter’s West Law School Exchange is another newer content sharing system for legal academics. It’s designed to share electronic materials directly through West’ proprietary courseware system “TWEN.” A more general feature is the ability for law faculty to view digital versions of West casebooks and other supplementary materials, including hornbooks and teachers manuals.
