Late fees

Overdue materials returned to the Library are assessed late fees as follows:

Replacement costs reflect both a charge for repurchasing the item and a processing fee. Computer hardware replacement costs depend on the particular item lost. If items designated lost are subsequently returned, a portion of the replacement cost may be refunded or waived.

Individual Library late fees can be viewed online through TALLONS (click on the link for “renew books and view your account”).

Late fees can be paid:

• by cash, check, or money order at the Cashiers Office, Main Building , Room 8, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
• online through What I Owe.
• by courtesy borrowers or TXShare borrowers in the Library with exact cash or a check made payable to The University of Texas
